Our partnerships with The Truck Drivers’ Association are some of our most valued. We at BrightPoint Creative know just how vital our friends on the road are to our economy.

Each year, truck drivers transport over 11 billion tons of freight! They deliver essentials to more than 80% of U.S. communities. To do so, they drive over 100,000 miles annually, often spending 10-14 hours a day on the road and covering the legal limit of 70 hours in a week!

More than 75% of truckers describe their job as mentally and physically stressful. Over half spend less than 24 hours at home each week. Many have runs of 2-6 weeks on the road, which means they miss birthdays, family dinners, and daily milestones. Their health risk is high too! Rates of sleep deprivation, elevated cholesterol, and fatigue are at an all-time high.

How Businesses Can Show Appreciation to Truck Drivers

With over 3.5 million professional truck drivers keeping businesses moving, Truck Driver Appreciation Month is the perfect time to go beyond a simple “thank you.” Here are some meaningful, morale-boosting ways businesses can show gratitude:

• Publicly recognize drivers’ hard work – highlight your favorite trucker on socials, or encourage teammates and clients to write them a “thank you” note.
• Host an Appreciation Event (even a small one!) – a grab-and-go gift bag at a truck stop, cater a meal at a fuel station, or a doughnut and coffee tailgate with giveaways!
• Support their mental & physical wellness – offer your trucking company: Care packages with water, healthy snacks, and fun activities to encourage breaks.
